A Beautiful Story

I'm told

I tell a beautiful story

I'd accept

As complimentary

Except I'm reflecting

A stark reality

Confronting

The marginalized in our society

The obvious 'other'

In our community

And whilst for some

It seems removed telling

There is nothing fanciful

About what I am spelling

The people, the places

These reported events

A slice of life

Rather than blowing

My own horn

On canopies and tents
