I shall tragic our sisters, our mothers, our daughters denied life, dignity, decency, ownership over their identities, their bodies, their being, till I have to tragic no more, but sometimes I can't, sometimes I won't, sometimes I wonder if we understand that it's the first step to taking many more We cry now, and we bemoan and we demand better and there is nothing wrong with that to the letter, except the feel that this a steal from the past, the same thing that was said last, and an expectation for a different outcome like wanting a different sound from beating the same drum. Because it's symptomatic, no isolated incident, prevalent, no lack of precedent. It is here amongst us caught up in our survival, and the solution I'll boldly say, is not some new, interventionist arrival. There is a cancer enduring here, that brooks no vaccine, for counter exhibits no fear At what point do we question our response as hosts, that doesn't leave us lost and bereft, embracing memories, tracking ghosts? When do we question around the larger picture, demand priority? Do we understand we are talking about a majority? When stop playing politics and tug-of-power, acknowledge and respond with an insight into the lateness of the hour? Demand word that matches deed, deed responding to need, and giving those most affected heed. Do you still need evidence of a dire reality, or is your cry for change? Our need is for alternative, chop, shift, lift, rearrange. At the very least and in the tiniest of instances, we need to feel, see, experience those differences. And that's not just within government, business, media and the private sector, but individuals in communities being their own saviour and protector. If the change is needed where you find yourself now, bring it - the situation harbours the answer to how. Of no use arguiing for 'how it used to be done' , that whatever has been is not working is as clear as the sun. Or yet another intervention fired from the same gun, when there is clear evidence none is working, not one. So miss me for 'more of the same', it's been a while since I've written off that aspect of the game. If any of it has had any meaningul impact so far, how come we still find ourselves where we are? Address for me - not like it's a new thing - the safety of women and how examples of how they are not is what they are mostly living. And roll out the start of an answer to that, which means change for everyone, including those whose words conflict with how they act And again, it would be wise If issues like this we prioritize SP 03092019
