There has always been exposure for the more palatable face of Darling. Saturday saw us engaging with some of the community who people the pockets of urbanized landscape that constitutes the bulk of human souls skarreling for survival amidst the magnificent natural beauty of the surrounds.
Life is struggle where Robert and Linda, a sibling partnership, efforts to provide not only a regular meal for those made even more vulnerable by the scourge of Covid_19 and its ramifications, but also seek to address impactful alleviation of an ongoing, desperate situation.
There have been interventions here in the past, but those have conceded defeat and whatever gains they might have engendered in the community has long dissapated in an atmosphere of restricted access, glaring lack and few viable options for resolve.
Under the leadership of Anwar Jakoet, AJF's modus operandi is confirming the integrity of our potential partnerships, engaging face-to-face with key groups and individuals already addressing the plight in their community, and assessing for ourselves the volume and nature of the assistance required, always with a focus on sustainability and mutually-beneficial support.
It is with this focus that we endeavour to make our Outreach Events ones of visible support with resources, engagement with our key specialists in the fields of ECD, Sports Development and Community Building, and an endeavour to build on a sense of hope. To communicate to these communities they are seen, that they are heard, and that they matter.
There is much needed in terms of support and manifesting a focus on community wellness and wholeness.
At #AJF we believe in the power of partnerships, the value of our people, and the importance of community.

In Darling, we were once again affirmed
