Know When You Laugh

'Know when you laugh with all your might
Till people start asking if you're alright
Your ribs aching, your stomach sore
Your breath something you' re fighting for
Then a click of the latch opens a door
Where stroller and president roll round on the floor
Flirting shamelessly with paradox and irony
Cells bursting to hold what must be set free
The message bassooned by these amused revelers
Mocking is one of the great levelers
Also mimicry is a brilliant art
First-prize though goes to humour of the heart
The stuff with the finger pointing guilty
And the choice to laugh in lieu of therapy
