Would you only give generously Where giving is perceived a due Determine individual worth, and casually According to who deserves true As if need itself presents just for you To practice your perceptions through To manifest your own suspect agenda And so true blessings empty render For giving is not about those who get Not for you to judge, or fret 'Bout why anyone else should nurse regret It is, don't forget, about your heartset And the question of condition Demanded only of the blessed giver Would you allow that the ocean Demands nothing of the river?
