You know Some People ended Apartheid

With a referendum that history was made

And because Some People are so good at what they do

They absolved themselves of culpability too

Knew it was over ‘cause it was something they started

So they would know best about when it departed

And from people who made race an issue before

The assurance that race was an issue no more

In fact, effort was made to have absolution manifest

So that we retained only the fine and the best

Victim now to having their predilections thwarted

The dark urges and sick psyches Apartheid supported

You know Some People wanted the government to ail

Needed to ameliorate the burn of racial fail

Some would effort actively debunk and discredit

As if their target didn’t do it themselves with merit

Some People were fine as long as they were okay

Their well-being and concern the opportune way

And emboldened by their constituted importance

Proudly banners an ages-old inheritance
