A thing about Cape Town, I'm saying all the time There's an instinct here - a capacity for rhyme Vested in diverse ways of expression Parading a rhythmic dexterity with a lingual obsession

Encouraged by the ability to carry on for hours When vending vegetables, flogging fruit, fish, or fullsome flowers

Or maybe I'm just feeling me And that forgotten hegemony Where food and news, and life at times Came floating on the air revealed as rhymes SP
