This is not your mother's life

How your father deals with his strife

Not your siblings with their own needs

Faith's expectation of good deeds

Some your child taking up their space

Some showing off your kinder face

Some concern for your neighbour's fate

And the stranger come to your gate

What so tested, then made manifest true

Whilst life seems about yours and you

A soloist defines a hymn or song

But only together is the whole choir strong
