WHY YOU ARE SAD
This is a poem for the broken-spirited
Who did not muscle forward when it warranted
Grab opportunity that itself presented
Giving cause to having their blessings resented
Your heart, is art
These are words for the silent observer
Leaving other narratives to hold court ever
Who in quiet separates and tries to sever
The self from such convicted endeavour
Your voice, your part
This is a rhythm for the lonely tome
Searching for a heart to call home
A telling that with the tale wander and roam
Of master, slave and castled tomb
Your trip, your chart
This is the music for the funeral-singer
These the dirges that in sorrow linger
Where sadness pain and melancholy finger
The denial of potential as hope-bringer
No end, no start
